Prescribing Optometrists

Recent changes to the Health Drugs and Poisons Regulations have granted Optometrists prescribing rights. To be eligible for therapeutic endorsement by the Optometrists Board of Queensland, optometrists must have completed an approved course in ocular therapeutics.
