Research Grants

From 2008, the Pharmacists Board of Queensland (PBQ) aims to provide research grant funding to Queensland pharmacists to promote and encourage research activity and research-based practice in the profession.

Researchers awarded PBQ funding range from Novice to Experienced researchers, with all research activities having the potential to contribute significantly to pharmacy practice in Queensland and to improving health outcomes.

In addition, in 2008 the Board will offer funding under the Pharmacy College Trust Research Grant. The Board is particularly proud of this flagship research grant award as it provides an opportunity for research to make significant contribution to future pharmacy practice in Queensland. The grant is available for research activities that are consistent with the objectives of the Board, the Trust and the evolving needs of the profession. This research is expected to have a significant impact on pharmacy in the development of knowledge and the provision of safe and competent care. The increased budget allowance provides for complex and far-reaching research to be undertaken. The Pharmacy College Trust Research Grant thus provides an opportunity for individual pharmacists or research teams to obtain grants.
